Land Rover Defender

Land Rover Defender (pre-2016) is a legendary British off-road vehicle produced in its classic form from 1983 to 2016, with roots going back to the original Series models of 1948. Built around a ladder-frame chassis with solid axles, permanent four-wheel drive, and low-range gearing, the classic Defender was designed for durability and extreme terrain rather than comfort. It was available in multiple body styles, most famously the Defender 90 and 110, and powered by a range of diesel and petrol engines, including the well-known Td5 and Tdi units. Before production ended in 2016, the Defender earned a reputation as a go-anywhere workhorse, used by farmers, explorers, militaries, and humanitarian organizations worldwide. Today, the pre-2016 Defender is regarded as an icon of functional design—raw, mechanical, and increasingly collectible.
